Flying Start Speed Exceeded
SEW Eurodrive · MOVIDRIVE compact System (MCF/MCV/MCS4_A)
What does 88 mean?
Immediate switch-off, specific to VFC n-CTRL operating mode, if the actual motor speed is detected to be greater than 5000 1/min when the inverter is enabled. The flying start function cannot engage at such high initial speeds.
Common Causes
- The motor speed during a flying start exceeded the allowed threshold.
- Attempting to synchronize with a rotating motor at too high a speed.
- Incorrect speed estimation or measurement during flying start.
- Parameter P1170 (Flying start speed) set too low or too high.
