Overcurrent

SEW Eurodrive · MOVIDRIVE compact System (MCF/MCV/MCS4_A)

What does 01 mean?

Immediate shut-off due to a short circuit at the inverter output, an oversized motor connected, or a faulty output stage within the inverter. This condition can lead to component stress and potential damage to the drive.

Common Causes

  • Motor current exceeds the safe operating limit (e.g., above P1-OC).
  • Mechanical overload on the driven equipment.
  • Faulty motor or drive electronics causing excessive current draw.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Rectify any detected short circuit at the inverter output terminals.

  2. 2

Verify the connected motor's nominal current (FLA) is appropriate for the inverter's rating; connect a smaller motor if mismatched.
