Oil aging/over-temperature Display error

Hva betyr 104 ?
The oil aging sensor signals an over-temperature condition in the gear unit oil. High oil temperatures accelerate degradation, reduce lubrication effectiveness, and can cause damage to the gear unit components and seals.
Vanlige årsaker
- Inadequate cooling of the gear unit due to clogged cooling fins, blocked ventilation, or cooling fan failure.
- Overloading of the gear unit beyond its rated thermal capacity (e.g., continuous operation at 120% rated torque).
- Incorrect lubricant type or viscosity used, leading to higher internal friction and excessive heat generation.
- Increased internal friction due to worn bearings, misaligned gears, or critically insufficient lubrication levels.
- High ambient operating temperature (e.g., above 40°C) exceeding the gear unit's design limits for heat dissipation.
Reparasjonssteg & Sjekkliste
Klikk på steg for å spore fremgangen.
- 1
1. Measure the external surface temperature of the gearbox housing using an infrared thermometer (e.g., target temperature <70°C).
- 2
2. Verify the functionality of any cooling fans or systems associated with the gear unit; clean or replace as needed.
- 3
3. Confirm that the correct type and viscosity of oil are used, comparing to the nameplate or manual (e.g., ISO VG 320 for specific ambient conditions).
- 4
4. Reduce the mechanical load on the gear unit to within its rated torque capacity (e.g., monitor via P2-01 Actual Torque).
- 5
5. Check the oil level in the gearbox; add recommended oil if below the specified minimum mark on the dipstick or sight glass.
