• Corruption of the internal EEPROM memory due to voltage transients or power interruptions.
• Degradation or failure of the EEPROM chip responsible for storing critical drive data.
• Faulty memory access by the drive's main processor.
• Firmware write operations to EEPROM failing or incomplete.
