Low battery voltage

Indramat · CLM01.3-M Flying Cutoff Control

Hva betyr F248 ?

For Indramat MKD and MKE series motors, the absolute position information is stored by a battery-powered electronic system in the motor feedback. This message appears if the battery voltage falls below 3.1 V. The absolute encoder function will still be preserved for about 2 weeks. CAUTION: Malfunction in the control of motors and moving elements, possible mechanical injuries. Replace the battery as soon as possible.

Vanlige årsaker

  • Battery voltage for the absolute encoder feedback on MKD and MKE motors has fallen below 3.1 V due to normal aging (10-year lifespan) or premature failure.

Reparasjonssteg & Sjekkliste

Klikk på steg for å spore fremgangen.

  1. 1

Immediately prepare to replace the battery, acquiring a new packaged battery (Part No. 257101) and necessary tools (Torx screwdriver size 10, needle-nose pliers, torque wrench).

  2. 2

Before starting, turn off and secure the main power supply to the motor, ensuring it cannot be inadvertently re-energized for mechanical safety.

  3. 3

Keep the 24V control voltage to the Indramat DIAX04 SSE-03VRS drive controller active during battery replacement to maintain absolute position information.

  4. 4

Carefully follow the manufacturer's procedure for accessing and exchanging the battery in the Indramat MKD or MKE motor feedback unit.

  5. 5

After replacement, dispose of the old battery according to local regulations. Verify the fault clears and the absolute position is retained.
