CiA: Continuous over current (internal)

Lenze · i550 Protec Drive

¿Qué significa 0x2250 ?

This fault indicates a continuous overcurrent condition within the inverter or on the motor side, or an overcurrent at the brake chopper. It can also occur if the DC bus relay has not been closed due to a malfunction. This fault immediately disables the inverter, causing the motor to coast.

Causas comunes

  • Mechanical overload or jamming of the motor shaft, causing continuous excessive current draw.
  • Incorrect motor parameters (e.g., P0-11 for rated power, P0-12 for rated current) entered in the inverter setup.
  • Partial short circuit or turn-to-turn fault within the motor windings, leading to increased current.
  • Faulty brake chopper unit or shorted brake resistor drawing excessive current from the DC bus.
  • Internal failure of the inverter's DC bus relay, preventing proper closure during startup.

Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación

Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.

  1. 1

De-energize the drive and lock out power.

  2. 2

Mechanically decouple the motor from the load and attempt to rotate the motor shaft by hand; confirm it moves freely without excessive resistance.

  3. 3

Verify motor rated current (P0-12) and motor rated power (P0-11) parameters are correctly configured in the inverter, matching the motor nameplate.

  4. 4

Inspect the brake chopper and brake resistor for signs of damage; measure the resistance of the brake resistor to confirm it is within specified limits.

  5. 5

Measure the resistance between motor phases (U1-V1, U1-W1, V1-W1) at the motor terminals to detect winding shorts.

  6. 6

Monitor the DC bus voltage (e.g., across terminals DC+ and DC-) during startup to ensure it stabilizes at the expected level (e.g., ~1.35 * Mains Voltage).
