Switch mode fault
Danfoss · VLT 2800 Variable Speed Drive
¿Qué significa 15 ?
This fault indicates an internal problem with the drive's switch mode power supply, which is responsible for internal voltage regulation. This is an internal hardware failure within the drive itself.
Causas comunes
- Internal hardware failure of the drive's auxiliary switch mode power supply (SMPS) components (e.g., capacitors, ICs, transformers).
- Degradation or failure of electrolytic capacitors within the SMPS due to age, heat, or voltage stress.
- Transient voltage spike or brownout condition on the main input power affecting the SMPS startup or operation.
- Short circuit on one of the internal low voltage DC rails powered by the SMPS, causing it to shut down.
- Firmware corruption or internal communication error affecting the SMPS control.
Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación
Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.
- 1
1. Power cycle the drive by completely removing all input power (L1, L2, L3 and control power) for at least 5 minutes to allow internal capacitors to discharge.
- 2
2. Measure the incoming AC line voltage (phase-to-phase) at terminals R, S, T to ensure it is stable and within the drive's rated input range.
- 3
3. Visually inspect the drive's control board and power supply section for any signs of burnt components, bulging capacitors, or discolored areas.
- 4
4. Verify that the ambient temperature around the drive is within the manufacturer's specified operating range (e.g., 0-40°C) to rule out overheating.
- 5
5. If the fault persists after power cycling and external checks, the drive likely requires replacement or professional repair by a certified technician.
- 6
6. Check for any active warning messages on the control panel (if accessible) that might provide more specific diagnostic information related to internal power.
