Current limit
Danfoss · VLT 2800 Variable Speed Drive
¿Qué significa 12 ?
The output current has exceeded the value set in parameter 221 (Current Limit ILIM). The adjustable frequency drive will trip after a period defined by parameter 409 (Trip delay overcurrent). This indicates a sustained overload condition on the motor.
Causas comunes
- Mechanical overload on the motor and driven equipment, causing the motor to demand current exceeding P2-21 (Current Limit).
- Rapid acceleration (P2-00) or deceleration (P2-01) of a high-inertia load, causing momentary current spikes.
- Incorrect motor parameters (P1-20 to P1-25) or motor tuning causing the drive to inaccurately estimate motor flux, leading to excessive current.
- Short circuit or ground fault in the motor windings or motor output cables, drawing high current.
- Drive is undersized for the application's peak current demands.
Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación
Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.
- 1
1. Measure the actual motor current (A01-04) during operation and compare it to the current limit set in parameter P2-21.
- 2
2. Inspect the mechanical system (e.g., bearings, gears, conveyor belt) for any binding, obstruction, or increased resistance that would increase motor load.
- 3
3. Increase the acceleration time (P2-00) by 10-20% to reduce initial current surges during startup.
- 4
4. Verify all motor nameplate data (kW, V, A, Hz, RPM) is accurately entered into drive parameters P1-20 to P1-25.
- 5
5. Power off the drive and perform an insulation resistance test (megohmmeter) on the motor cables and motor windings to ground.
- 6
6. If the fault occurs at very low speeds, check V/Hz curve settings (P2-05 to P2-07) and consider increasing the starting boost voltage (P2-06).
