Muting Input 1/2 Discrepancy Not Reset
Beckhoff · TwinSAFE Logic FB
¿Qué significa FB MUTING Bit 8 ?
A discrepancy error in 'MuteIn1'/'MuteIn2' was detected and has not yet been acknowledged or reset. This indicates a persistent underlying issue with muting input group 1 that needs active resolution and acknowledgment before normal operation can resume. The system will remain in a safe, stopped state.
Causas comunes
- The original discrepancy condition in 'MuteIn1'/'MuteIn2' (from ref=36) has not been fully resolved.
- A fault in the safety controller's reset mechanism or input (e.g., external reset button wiring issue to input X1.5).
- Persistent electrical noise on the 'MuteIn1' or 'MuteIn2' signal lines prevents a stable state for reset.
- Internal fault within the safety PLC preventing the status bit for muting group 1 discrepancy from resetting.
- Incorrect acknowledge/reset sequence performed by the operator or maintenance personnel.
Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación

- 1
1. Re-evaluate and resolve the underlying causes for 'Muting Discrepancy Error - Muting Group 1' (ref=36) by checking sensor alignment, cleanliness, and wiring.
- 2
2. Activate the safety system reset input (e.g., pressing the HMI 'Reset' button or a physical input X1.5) and verify its signal at the safety PLC terminal.
- 3
3. Monitor the raw input states of 'MuteIn1' and 'MuteIn2' in the safety controller's diagnostic view to confirm they are stable and consistent before attempting a reset.
- 4
4. Check the safety controller's diagnostic logs for any other active faults that might be preventing the reset of this specific muting error.
- 5
5. Power cycle the safety controller after ensuring all physical faults are cleared, then attempt the reset procedure again.
