Mitsubishi Electric · FR-A800 Troubleshooting Course
This warning indicates that the FR-A800 inverter's cooling fan speed has dropped to 50% or less of its nominal speed, or one or more fans are failing in systems with multiple fans. This signifies that the inverter's cooling capacity is reduced, which can lead to overheating and premature failure of internal components if not addressed. E700 (Pr.255) bit 2 is turned ON when this warning occurs.
Click steps to track your progress.
Inspect the cooling fan (or fans) for visible obstructions, dust buildup, or physical damage. Clean the fan blades and housing if necessary.
Monitor the fan's operation visually and audibly to confirm reduced speed or unusual noise.
Check the FR-A800 inverter's internal temperature readings if available through parameters to confirm reduced cooling effectiveness.
Contact Mitsubishi Electric System & Service Co., Ltd. for fan replacement.
