PU Disconnection

Mitsubishi Electric · FR-A800 Troubleshooting Course

What does E.PUE mean?

This fault indicates that the FR-A800 inverter's PU (Programming Unit, i.e., control panel or HMI) has been disconnected while parameter E101 (Pr.75) is configured to shut off the inverter output upon detection of PU disconnection. This protects the system from unintended operation if the control interface is removed.

Common Causes

  • The PU (operation panel) was physically disconnected from the inverter while it was operating or commanded to operate, and parameter E101 (Pr.75) is set to '2'.
  • Poor connection or intermittent contact of the PU unit to the inverter.
  • Faulty PU unit or inverter communication interface.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Ensure the PU (operation panel) is securely connected to the FR-A800 inverter. If it was intentionally removed, reconnect it.

  2. 2

Check parameter E101 (Pr.75) (PU disconnection detection). If continuous operation without the PU is desired, set it to '14' (operation continues even when PU disconnected). If output shutdown is intended, ensure it is set to '2'.

  3. 3

Inspect the PU connection port and cable for any physical damage or debris.

  4. 4

If using an external communication method, ensure the communication link is stable and not intermittently disconnecting.
