DS1448
Scale Area Exceeded
Fanuc · Series 0i-MODEL F Plus Parameter
What does DS1448 mean?
This alarm is issued if parameter settings for the scale area on the affected axis cause it to extend across the scale zero point or base point. This indicates an invalid configuration for the linear scale with absolute address reference marks or an absolute address zero point. Parameters 1883 and 1884 are typically involved in defining this area.
Common Causes
- The actual load on the axis has exceeded the configured maximum allowable limit in parameter P1-67.
- The position command has exceeded the programmable limit set in parameter P1-68 for the specified axis.
- A sudden external force or collision has caused the axis to move beyond its safe operational range.
- The load sensor feedback is inaccurate or malfunctioning, leading to a false 'scale area exceeded' condition.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Check the values of parameter No. 1883 and parameter No. 1884 for the affected axis.
- 2
Adjust parameter settings to ensure the defined scale area does not extend beyond the physical scale zero point or base point.
