DS0016
Scale Distance Out of Range
Fanuc · Series 0i-MODEL F Plus Parameter
What does DS0016 mean?
This alarm is issued if parameter Nos. 1883 and 1884, which define the distance from the scale zero point (for a linear scale with absolute address reference marks) or the base point (for a linear scale with an absolute address zero point) to the reference position, are set to a value beyond the allowed range. The permitted range for this distance is -999,999,999,999 to +999,999,999,999.
Common Causes
- The calculated distance or travel for a scale is outside its defined operating range.
- Encoder signal indicates movement beyond physical limits.
- Incorrect scale factor or resolution set.
- Mechanical obstruction preventing full range of motion.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Check the values of parameter No. 1883 and parameter No. 1884 for the affected axis.
- 2
Ensure the combined distance defined by parameters 1883 and 1884 is within the valid range of -999,999,999,999 to +999,999,999,999.
