This fault signifies a thermal overload of the motor, typically caused by an impermissible continuous current or by frequent or excessively long acceleration processes. The drive is disabled, and the motor will coast. This fault is configurable and requires a blocking time of 5 seconds before reset.

• Continuous motor operation above its rated current due to mechanical overload of the driven equipment.
• Frequent starts/stops or rapid acceleration/deceleration cycles, causing high transient currents and excessive motor heating.
• Inadequate motor cooling due to a blocked cooling fan, clogged cooling fins, or high ambient temperature exceeding the motor's specified limits.
• Incorrect motor thermal protection parameters (e.g., P1-30 for motor overload factor, P1-31 for motor cooling) configured in the inverter.
• Inaccurate motor nominal current (P0-12) or motor nominal speed (P0-13) configured, leading to an incorrect I²t model calculation.
