Live zero error
Danfoss · VLT HVAC Drive FC 102
What does 2 mean?
This warning or alarm appears if programmed in 6-01 Live Zero Timeout Function. It indicates that the signal on one of the analog inputs is less than 50% of the minimum value programmed for that input. Common causes include broken wiring or a faulty device sending the signal, which can lead to incorrect process control.
Common Causes
- Analog input signal (e.g., from terminal 53A or 53B) falling below 50% of the programmed minimum value (P6-02).
- Open circuit or high resistance in the wiring connecting the analog sensor to the drive's input terminals.
- Sensor failure resulting in an output signal consistently below its specified minimum range.
- Incorrect configuration of parameter P6-01 (Live Zero Timeout Function) for the specific analog input signal type.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Measure the voltage or current signal at the analog input terminal (e.g., 53A/53B or 60/61) and verify it's above 50% of the minimum value set in P6-02.
- 2
Verify parameters P6-02 (Minimum Reference) and P6-03 (Maximum Reference) are correctly configured for the connected analog sensor's range.
- 3
Check continuity of the sensor signal cable from the sensor output to the drive's analog input terminals using a multimeter.
- 4
Calibrate or replace the analog sensor if its output signal is consistently below the expected minimum at a known process value.
