What does 80A0 mean?
An analog input signal is outside the limits specified for that input (under minimum or above maximum). This indicates a problem with the sensor, wiring, or the signal source itself. Incorrect analog input can lead to incorrect process control or drive operation.
Common Causes
- Sensor supplying the analog input (e.g., pressure transducer, temperature sensor) has failed or lost its power supply (e.g., 24VDC).
- Broken wire or loose connection in the analog signal path to the drive's analog input terminal (e.g., AI1 or AI2).
- Incorrect scaling or range settings for the analog input parameter (e.g., P4-10 'AI1 min value', P4-11 'AI1 max value') for the expected sensor range.
- Signal source (e.g., PLC analog output, another controller) is sending an out-of-range value due to its own fault.
- Short circuit in the analog input wiring, causing an erroneously high current/voltage signal.
