LF2

Output Current Imbalance

Yaskawa · P1000 AC Drive

What does LF2 mean?

The drive detected an imbalance in the current magnitudes across its output phases. This can indicate a motor issue, output wiring problem, or unbalance in the motor load.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Inspect motor output cabling (U, V, W) for loose connections, damage, or signs of overheating at both the drive and motor terminals.

  2. 2

Measure the resistance of each motor phase winding (U-V, V-W, W-U) directly at the motor terminals with the motor disconnected from the drive. Compare readings for significant deviation (e.g., >5%).

  3. 3

Verify the mechanical load connected to the motor for any binding, obstruction, or unbalance that could cause uneven current draw.

  4. 4

Check drive parameters related to motor data (e.g., motor rated current, poles, auto-tuning status) to ensure they are correctly configured according to the motor nameplate.
