dEv

Speed Deviation

Yaskawa · GA500 Maintenance and Troubleshooting

What does dEv mean?

The drive detected a significant deviation between the commanded speed reference and the actual detected speed, exceeding the set threshold (F1-10) for longer than the specified delay (F1-11). This indicates a problem with the motor's ability to follow the speed command, potentially leading to process disruption, mechanical stress, or loss of control.

Additional Steps

Steps 1–2 are listed in Priority Fix.

  1. 3

Adjust the speed deviation detection level (F1-10) and delay time (F1-11) if they are overly sensitive for the application.

  2. 4

Inspect the machine for any mechanical lock-ups, obstructions, or excessive friction that could be hindering motor rotation.

  3. 5

Ensure that the motor's holding brake (if present) is fully released and not dragging when the drive is commanded to run.
