Simulation of the safety inputs active
Siemens · SINAMICS G120
What does F01661 mean?
The simulation mode for the digital inputs of the Control Unit (F-DI) is currently active. Safety functions cannot operate reliably while in simulation mode, which could mask actual input conditions and lead to unsafe operation if not deactivated before live use.
Common Causes
- Parameter P60000 (Safety functions simulation) is inadvertently set to a value other than '0' (deactivated).
- A commissioning engineer activated simulation mode for testing and forgot to deactivate it.
- A control signal or HMI command enabled the simulation mode through a different parameter or command.
- Non-volatile memory corruption causing P60000 to default to an active simulation state.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Set parameter P60000 (Safety functions simulation) back to '0' to deactivate the simulation mode.
- 2
Save the parameters to non-volatile memory (e.g., P0977=1) after deactivating simulation.
- 3
If P60000 cannot be changed, check if a higher-level safety function acknowledgment (e.g., P9700=1) is pending.
- 4
Verify that no external control signals or HMI commands are actively forcing P60000 to an enabled state.
- 5
Perform a full power cycle of the drive system after deactivating simulation mode and saving parameters.
