PROFIBUS/PROFINET configuration error
Siemens · SINAMICS G120
What does F01653 mean?
There is an error in the PROFIBUS or PROFINET configuration of the safety slot, either on the master side or the Control Unit. This prevents safe communication with the higher-level controller and can lead to system shutdown, compromising integrated safety functions.
Common Causes
- PROFIsafe address (P60021) in the drive does not match the configured address in the safety PLC (master).
- Incorrect PROFIsafe telegram type (P60022) selected in the drive for the safety functions being used.
- Device name or PROFINET IP address (P8920, P8921) misconfiguration preventing PROFINET communication.
- GSDML file for the drive's safety functions is incorrect or missing in the safety PLC engineering software.
- Incorrect slot assignment for the drive in the safety PLC's hardware configuration (e.g., safety telegram not in correct slot).
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Verify that parameter P60021 (PROFIsafe address) in the drive matches the PROFIsafe address configured in the safety PLC for this device.
- 2
Confirm that parameter P60022 (PROFIsafe telegram type) in the drive is set correctly according to the safety functions used (e.g., standard or extended telegram).
- 3
Check the PROFINET/PROFIBUS GSDML file version in the safety PLC project to ensure it is current and matches the drive's firmware.
- 4
Ensure that the drive's PROFINET device name (P8920) or PROFIBUS address is unique and correctly configured in the safety PLC.
- 5
Perform a cross-check of the PROFIsafe configuration data (checksums if available) between the safety PLC and the drive (e.g., P9700 acknowledgment).
