Motor Data Identification Active
Siemens · SINAMICS G120
What does A00541 mean?
This alarm indicates that the motor data identification process (parameter P1910) is active or has been selected to run. This is a normal operational state during commissioning or motor tuning, where the drive is learning the motor's electrical characteristics.
Common Causes
- Motor data identification (e.g., P1910) has been manually activated from the HMI, engineering tool, or a control command.
- The drive was configured to perform automatic motor data identification upon power-up or a specific event (e.g., after parameter reset).
- A new motor has been connected or motor parameters have been significantly changed (e.g., P0304-P0311), triggering the need for re-identification.
- Internal drive diagnostics are running the identification routine to verify motor model or connections.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
1. Allow the motor data identification process (P1910) to complete its sequence; this is a normal operational state.
- 2
2. Verify that no external conditions (e.g., mechanical load on the motor, motor not completely de-coupled) are interfering with the identification process.
- 3
3. Check the status of parameter r0002 (drive operating state) to confirm the identification routine is progressing as expected.
- 4
4. If the process appears stuck, cancel the identification (e.g., P1910=0) and re-initiate it, ensuring all motor parameters (P0304-P0311) are accurately entered.
