F84
Motor protection
SEW Eurodrive · MOVITRAC 07B System
What does F84 mean?
A stop with inhibit indicating that motor utilization is too high, often detected by IN-UL monitoring (P345/P346). This protects the motor from sustained overload conditions.
Common Causes
- Motor utilization too high
- IN-UL monitoring (P345/P346) tripped due to excessive load
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Check parameter P345 / P346 (IN-UL monitoring) settings for appropriate trip levels
- 2
Reduce the mechanical load on the motor
- 3
Extend acceleration/deceleration ramps to reduce peak current demands
- 4
Implement longer rest periods between operations to allow motor cooling
