Brake chopper fault

What does 04 mean?

The braking chopper circuit has encountered an issue, such as excessive regenerative power, an open or shorted braking resistor circuit, incorrect resistor resistance, or a defective chopper component. This fault leads to an immediate switch-off, impairing the drive's braking capabilities.

   Verify the technical specifications and resistance value of the braking resistor against the system requirements.

   Check for any ground faults within the braking resistor circuit or associated wiring.

   Replace the MOVIDRIVE® unit if the internal brake chopper is determined to be defective after ruling out external issues.
