OVERSPEED FAULT
Otis · DSD 412 Elevator System
What does 97 mean?
The motor speed has exceeded the trip level set in parameter #12, as measured by the encoder. Parameter #12 defines a percentage of the motor speed value set in parameter #11.
Common Causes
- Incorrect setting of parameters #10, #11, or #12.
- Poor speed regulator tuning.
- Velocity reference set above rated speed.
- Intermittent velocity encoder operation.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Check parameters #10, #11, and #12 for correct settings.
- 2
Check speed regulator tuning parameters #40, #41, and #42.
- 3
Verify the velocity reference is not set above the motor's rated speed.
- 4
Inspect the velocity encoder for intermittent operation.
