Over-voltage Protection
Omron · MX2 Inverter
What does E07 mean?
This fault occurs when the DC bus voltage inside the inverter exceeds a predefined safe threshold. This usually happens during deceleration due to regenerative energy from the motor returning to the drive faster than it can be dissipated, or from an unstable input power supply.
Additional Steps
Steps 1–2 are listed in Priority Fix.
- 3
If the problem persists, check the input power supply for voltage fluctuations or spikes that could trigger the over-voltage.
- 4
Consider installing or upgrading a braking resistor to absorb excess regenerative energy, or adjust its settings (A051-A059) for better performance.
- 5
For severe cases, check the overvoltage protection integral time (b134) and set the overvoltage protection level (b131) lower to allow more headroom.
