E02
Over-current during Deceleration
Omron · MX2 Inverter
What does E02 mean?
This fault occurs when the inverter detects an overcurrent condition during the motor's deceleration phase. This typically happens when the motor is regenerating energy back into the drive too rapidly or encounters a sudden mechanical jam during slowing down, leading to an inverter trip.
Additional Steps
Steps 1–2 are listed in Priority Fix.
- 3
Verify the motor load is not excessive or causing abrupt stops during deceleration.
- 4
Consider installing or upgrading a braking resistor and unit to dissipate regenerative energy more effectively.
- 5
Review the braking parameters and control algorithm (e.g., A051 for DC injection braking) to ensure they are appropriately set for the application.
