Drive Timed Overload (Adv. Code 0)
Vacon · X4
Hva betyr 28 ?
This fault occurs when the drive detects an overload condition that surpasses its specified rating for a sustained period. For normal duty, the drive is rated for 120% of nameplate current for 60 seconds, and for heavy duty, 150% for 60 seconds. Sustained overload can damage the drive's internal power components.
Vanlige årsaker
- Motor load torque consistently exceeding the drive's continuous current rating (e.g., operating above parameter P1-03 Motor Rated Current).
- Improper acceleration/deceleration ramp times (P1-10, P1-11) causing excessive current draw during speed changes.
- Motor shaft or driven equipment binding, increasing required torque and current beyond the motor nameplate rating.
- Poor drive heatsink cooling due to blocked fins or failed cooling fan, leading to reduced current capability.

- 1
1. Monitor output current (Parameter P0-01) during operation and compare it to the drive's nameplate continuous current rating.
- 2
2. Increase acceleration time (P1-10) and deceleration time (P1-11) by 15-20% to reduce current transients during speed changes.
- 3
3. Mechanically inspect the motor and driven load for excessive friction, bearing issues, or blockages, confirming free rotation.
- 4
4. Verify drive cooling fan operation and ensure heatsink fins are free from dust and debris; measure ambient temperature around the drive (should be within 0-50°C).
- 5
5. Confirm motor parameters (P1-01 through P1-07) are accurately programmed into the drive, matching motor nameplate data.
