Follower communication

Hva betyr 59 ?
Communication has been lost between the Master and Follower drives via the SystemBus or CAN communication link. This could be due to incorrect option board parameters or a damaged/disconnected communication cable (optical fibre or CAN). Loss of communication prevents synchronized operation in a master-follower system, leading to operational halts.
Vanlige årsaker
- Physical disconnection or damage to the SystemBus/CAN communication cable between master and follower drives.
- Incorrect termination resistors (e.g., 120 Ohm) on the CAN network, leading to signal reflection.
- Faulty or incorrectly installed communication option board (e.g., MCB-103) in the master or follower drive.
- Master drive communication parameters (e.g., P8-10, P8-11) or follower drive address (P8-01) mismatched.
- EMI interference or ground loops affecting communication cable integrity.
Reparasjonssteg & Sjekkliste
Klikk på steg for å spore fremgangen.
- 1
Inspect SystemBus/CAN communication cable for physical damage, proper seating, and correct pinout between master and follower units.
- 2
Measure resistance across the CAN_H and CAN_L terminals at each end of the bus (should be approx. 60 Ohms if correctly terminated).
- 3
Verify communication option board (e.g., MCB-103, MCA-101) is securely installed and recognized by the drive (check P8-XX status).
- 4
Confirm master drive communication parameters (e.g., P8-10, P8-11 for baud rate) and follower addresses (P8-01) are identical across all connected drives.
- 5
Check for proper shielding and grounding of the communication cable to mitigate electromagnetic interference.
- 6
Swap communication cable with a known good one to rule out cable fault.
