HF damping module: Heat sink overtemperature

Siemens · DAsl Diagnostics and Alarms

Hva betyr 237056 ?

The heat sink temperature of the HF damping module has exceeded its permissible limit. This is typically caused by insufficient cooling (e.g., fan failure), sustained overload conditions on the module, or an ambient temperature that is too high. Sustained overtemperature can lead to premature component failure or reduced performance of the damping module.

Vanlige årsaker

  • Fan failure (e.g., seized bearing, broken blades, electrical fault) on the HF damping module.
  • Blocked or dirty air intake/exhaust vents on the HF damping module or cabinet, restricting airflow.
  • Ambient temperature in the control cabinet exceeding the module's specified operating limit (e.g., 40°C).
  • Sustained overload condition on the HF damping module, causing excessive heat generation.
  • Faulty heat sink temperature sensor providing an incorrect reading (e.g., short circuit, open circuit).

Reparasjonssteg & Sjekkliste

Klikk på steg for å spore fremgangen.

  1. 1

Power down the system, then visually inspect the cooling fan(s) of the HF damping module for operation, damage, or blockage.

  2. 2

Clean any dust or debris from the air intake and exhaust vents of the module and the control cabinet.

  3. 3

Measure the ambient temperature inside the control cabinet near the HF damping module using a thermometer.

  4. 4

Monitor the actual output current and DC link voltage (r0067, r0070) of the system to verify the module is not continuously overloaded.

  5. 5

Use a thermal imaging camera to verify the heat sink temperature reading and compare it with the internal sensor's reported value (r0037).
