External Sync Failed
Schneider Electric · XW Pro NA Operation Guide
Hva betyr F69 ?
This Manual Fault occurs when the external AC sync port connection or cable is faulty, or something is improperly plugged into the AC sync port in a single-inverter system. This prevents proper synchronization.
Vanlige årsaker
- Damaged or improperly connected external AC sync cable (e.g., loose shielding, broken conductor) between the inverter and the sync source.
- Incorrect signal levels or timing from the external synchronization source (e.g., signal amplitude below 3V peak-to-peak or frequency deviation).
- Impedance mismatch or improper termination on the AC sync line causing signal reflection or attenuation (e.g., missing termination resistor).
- Failure or unexpected shutdown of the external synchronization source device itself (e.g., dedicated clock generator).
- Configuration error where external sync is enabled (Parameter P2-10 set to 'External Sync') but no valid source is connected.

- 1
1. Inspect the external AC sync cable for physical damage, proper seating in the 'AC Sync' port, and verify continuity of all conductors using a multimeter.
- 2
2. Measure the voltage present on the 'AC Sync' port terminals (e.g., pins 1 and 2) using an oscilloscope to verify signal integrity (e.g., 5V, 50/60Hz square wave).
- 3
3. Verify that the external sync source is operational and providing the correct synchronization signal output, matching the inverter's expected specifications.
- 4
4. Temporarily disable external synchronization (set Parameter P2-10 to 'Internal Sync') to confirm the inverter operates normally without the external source.
- 5
5. Check terminal connections for the AC sync signal on both the inverter and the external sync source for tightness and proper polarity.
