Overcurrent
Schneider Electric · Altivar Machine ATV340 Programming
Hva betyr -OCF ?
This fault indicates that the drive controller has detected excessive current flowing to the motor. This can be caused by the motor accelerating too quickly, the drive or motor being undersized for the mechanical load, or a physical blockage preventing the motor from turning freely. Leaving this unresolved can damage the motor, drive controller, or connected machinery due to overheating or mechanical stress.
Vanlige årsaker
- Rapid acceleration ramp time (Parameter P1-03) set too low for the load inertia, causing excessive current demand.
- Motor shaft seizure or excessive mechanical load on the driven equipment, leading to high torque requirements.
- Drive output current limit (Parameter P3-01) configured below motor FLA (Full Load Amps) or application requirement.
- Incorrect motor parameters (e.g., motor rated current P2-01) entered into the drive, leading to miscalculation of current limits.
- Short-circuit or ground fault condition in the motor or cabling, causing transient overcurrent before a dedicated short-circuit trip.
Reparasjonssteg & Sjekkliste
Klikk på steg for å spore fremgangen.
- 1
Measure actual motor phase current (U, V, W) using a clamp meter during acceleration and compare to motor nameplate FLA.
- 2
Verify acceleration ramp time (Parameter P1-03) setting. Increase by 1-2 seconds if fault occurs during motor acceleration.
- 3
Inspect motor bearings and driven load for binding or seizure by manually rotating the motor shaft (power OFF).
- 4
Confirm drive output current limit (Parameter P3-01) is set correctly, typically 150% of motor FLA.
- 5
Compare motor rated current (Parameter P2-01) in drive settings to motor nameplate data. Adjust if a mismatch is found.
