Motor Overload

Indicates that the motor's thermal model in the drive has calculated an overload condition, suggesting the motor is operating too hot. This protection mechanism prevents motor winding damage due to excessive current over time. The fault typically clears after the motor has cooled down.

• Sustained operation of the motor above its nameplate rated current for an extended duration, causing excessive heat generation.
• Incorrect motor data entry (e.g., Parameter P1-01 "Motor Rated Current" is too low) causing an inaccurate thermal model calculation.
• Motor cooling fan failure or blocked air passages on the motor, leading to insufficient heat dissipation from the windings.
• High ambient temperature around the motor, reducing its ability to cool itself effectively.
• Motor thermal constant (Parameter P6-01 "Motor Thermal Time Constant") set incorrectly for the specific motor type.
