Torque limit
Danfoss · VLT Micro Drive FC 51
Hva betyr 12 ?
The motor's actual torque has exceeded the value set in either parameter 4-16 (Torque Limit Motor Mode) or 4-17 (Torque Limit Generator Mode). This is a protective function to prevent mechanical damage to the driven equipment or instability in the control system.
Vanlige årsaker
- Actual motor torque exceeding the set limit in parameter P4-16 (Torque Limit Motor Mode) or P4-17 (Torque Limit Generator Mode).
- Mechanical binding or obstruction in the driven load requiring torque above the set limit to overcome.
- Incorrectly set torque limits, too low for the application's normal operating demands or peak starting torque.
- Sensorless vector control miscalculating motor torque due to inaccurate motor parameters (P1-04 to P1-06).
- Rapid acceleration/deceleration ramp times (P1-02, P1-03) causing transient torque peaks to exceed the limit.

- 1
Monitor the drive's actual output torque (e.g., Parameter P0-06) and compare it against the set torque limits P4-16 and P4-17.
- 2
Increase the torque limit parameters (P4-16, P4-17) to a value suitable for the application's peak torque requirements.
- 3
Inspect the mechanical system for any physical obstructions, tight bearings, or excessive friction that could cause high torque demand.
- 4
Verify the accuracy of motor nameplate data (P1-04 to P1-06) entered into the drive's configuration.
- 5
Increase acceleration and deceleration ramp times (P1-02, P1-03) to reduce the rate of change of torque during speed changes.
