Overcurrent

Hva betyr 13 ?

The inverter peak current limit, approximately 200% of the rated current, has been exceeded. This warning typically lasts about 1.5 seconds before the frequency converter trips and issues an alarm. Common causes include shock loading, rapid acceleration with high-inertia loads, or issues during kinetic back-up.

Vanlige årsaker

  • Sudden mechanical jam or overload on the motor shaft causing an instantaneous current surge (e.g., >200% rated current).
  • Short-circuit or phase-to-phase fault in the motor windings or the motor cable.
  • Rapid acceleration with insufficient ramp time (P3-41) or excessive boost (P1-52) causing high inrush current.
  • Incorrect motor parameters (e.g., P1-20, P1-21) leading to unstable motor control and current spikes.
  • Malfunctioning IGBTs or gate drive circuit on the power board, causing uncontrolled current output.

Reparasjonssteg & Sjekkliste

Klikk på steg for å spore fremgangen.

  1. 1

Power down the drive and disconnect the motor leads (U, V, W) from the drive's output terminals.

  2. 2

Measure the resistance between each output phase (U-V, V-W, W-U) and from each phase to ground (PE) for the motor cable and motor windings. Look for near-zero resistance (short) or continuity to ground.

  3. 3

With the motor disconnected, power up the drive; if the fault clears, the issue is external (motor/cable).

  4. 4

Increase acceleration ramp time (P3-41) and adjust current limit parameters (e.g., P6-10) to allow for softer starts.

  5. 5

Verify motor parameters (P1-20 to P1-29) are correctly entered according to the motor's nameplate.
