The autotune function, which optimizes motor control parameters, was either manually canceled or failed to complete successfully. This means the drive may not be properly tuned to the connected motor, potentially leading to suboptimal performance, instability, or inefficient operation.

- Autotune process manually canceled or interrupted before completion (e.g., user input, external fault, power loss).
- Incorrect motor nameplate data entered into drive parameters (P5-01 through P5-08), leading to an inability for the drive to characterize the motor accurately.
- Mechanical load connected to the motor during a static or rotating autotune sequence, preventing the drive from accurately measuring motor parameters.
- Motor or drive hardware fault (e.g., open motor winding, ground fault, shorted motor) preventing proper motor excitation during autotune.
- Improper wiring between the drive and motor, causing phase imbalance or high resistance that disrupts the autotune process.

Ensure all motor nameplate data (P5-01 Motor Volts, P5-02 Motor RPM, P5-03 Motor Amps, P5-04 Motor Hz, P5-05 Motor KW/HP, P5-06 Motor Poles) is accurately entered into the drive.

Disconnect the mechanical load from the motor shaft for a rotating autotune; ensure the shaft can rotate freely. For a static autotune, ensure the motor is at a standstill.

Inspect motor wiring for loose connections, phase imbalances, or high resistance, and verify the motor is properly connected (U, V, W).

Perform motor winding resistance (U-V, V-W, W-U) and insulation resistance (each phase to ground) tests to rule out motor faults.

Attempt to retry the autotune process (Parameter C0-02 Autotune Mode) after verifying all prerequisites and parameters are correct.

If autotune consistently fails, manually enter or fine-tune key motor control parameters (e.g., P5-10 Stator Leakage Reactance, P5-11 Rotor Leakage Reactance, P5-12 Magnetizing Reactance, P5-13 Stator Resistance).
