11-time blink 2.5-second OFF

Indoor Fan Motor Feedback Error

Mitsubishi · MSZ-FH06-18NA Heat Pump System

What does 11-time blink 2.5-second OFF mean?

This fault is indicated when the rotational frequency feedback signal from the indoor fan motor is not emitted for 12 seconds after the motor begins operation. This means the control system cannot confirm the fan's speed or operation, leading to a lack of airflow, insufficient heat exchange, and potential unit overheating. Resolution is critical for maintaining proper air circulation and system performance.

Additional Steps

Steps 1–2 are listed in Priority Fix.

  1. 3

Verify the power supply reaching the indoor fan motor and use a multimeter to check the continuity of motor windings.

  2. 4

Examine the fan motor's speed sensor and its associated wiring for any damage, disconnections, or poor contacts.

  3. 5

If the motor, speed sensor, or its control circuit is found faulty, replace the entire indoor fan motor assembly.
