Stall Prevention (Overcurrent)
Mitsubishi Electric · FR-D700 Basic Inverter
What does Stall prevention (overcurrent) mean?
The overcurrent stall prevention function has been activated, meaning the inverter detected conditions that could lead to motor stall due to excessive current draw. This protective feature safeguards both the motor and inverter from damage. If ignored, persistent overcurrent can lead to motor overheating, winding damage, or inverter component stress.
Additional Steps
Steps 1–2 are listed in Priority Fix.
- 3
Reduce the mechanical load weight on the motor or consider using 'General-purpose magnetic flux vector control' if applicable.
- 4
Adjust the Pr. 13 (Starting frequency) setting or change the Pr. 14 (Load pattern selection) setting.
- 5
Adjust the stall prevention operation current level in Pr. 22 (Stall prevention operation level) by increasing the level, or disable stall prevention using Pr. 156 (Stall prevention operation selection) with caution.
