SL
Speed limit indication (output during speed limit)
Mitsubishi Electric · Mitsubishi FR-E800 Variable Frequency Drive
What does SL mean?
This indicator appears if the speed limit level is exceeded during torque control. It signifies that the inverter is actively limiting the motor speed to the set maximum, preventing it from overrunning.
Common Causes
- Drive output speed is being intentionally limited by a parameter setting.
- Maximum speed limit (e.g., P1-04) reached.
- External speed reference signal is below the configured maximum speed.
- Motor speed is at the upper limit defined by P1-05.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Decrease the torque command value if the motor is overshooting the speed limit excessively.
- 2
Increase the speed limit level parameter if the current limit is too restrictive for the application's required speed.
- 3
Check that the torque command is not larger than required, which could lead to frequent speed limiting.
