E47
Inverter Overvoltage
Mitsubishi Electric · FR-D700 Inverter
What does E47 mean?
The inverter has detected an overvoltage condition, which could be due to an unstable power supply or a malfunction within the inverter itself. This protects the inverter components from damage.
Common Causes
- Excessive voltage on the DC bus, possibly due to regenerative braking without a load.
- Incorrect DC bus filtering or smoothing capacitor failure.
- External power supply voltage exceeding inverter limits.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Measure the input AC voltage to the outdoor unit and verify it is within the specified operating range.
- 2
Check the DC bus voltage within the inverter (if accessible and safe to do so) to confirm the overvoltage condition.
- 3
Inspect the power supply wiring and connections for stability, looking for loose terminals or intermittent contacts.
