Sd8

SinCos encoder error at X8

Lenze · SM29_05 Service Bulletin

What does Sd8 mean?

The SinCos encoder at X8 is sending inconsistent data, indicating damaged tracks, high interference levels on the cable, or an open circuit. It could also be due to an incorrect encoder type or improperly set supply voltage.

Additional Steps

Steps 1–2 are listed in Priority Fix.

  1. 3

If interference is high, decelerate the actuation of the fault message via the filter time constant (C0559 for ECSxS/P/M/A or C0575 for 9300 servo cam).

  2. 4

Check the cable for wire breakage if the SinCos encoder at X8 does not send any data.

  3. 5

Verify that a SinCos encoder from the Stegmann company is connected.

  4. 6

Set the voltage supply in C0421 correctly according to the encoder's requirements.
