Parameter set 1 defective
Lenze · 4800/4900 Series
What does PR1 mean?
This fault specifically indicates that user-defined parameter set 1, stored in the drive's memory, has become corrupted or is invalid. By default, this condition is configured as a Warning, meaning it alerts the operator and is logged, but it does not immediately inhibit pulses. Using a defective parameter set can lead to improper drive operation or damage.
Common Causes
- Corruption of the internal memory block storing parameter set 1.
- Interruption during the saving process of parameter set 1 (e.g., power loss while writing P9-98 = 1).
- Attempting to load a parameter set 1 that is incompatible with the current drive's firmware version.
- Degradation or failure of the drive's non-volatile memory associated with parameter set 1.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Attempt to load an alternative, known good parameter set (e.g., switch to parameter set 2 using P0-02 = 2).
- 2
Try to reload parameter set 1 from an external backup file using the drive's configuration software.
- 3
Manually re-enter critical parameters for set 1, starting with motor data (e.g., P1-01, P1-02, P1-03).
- 4
Execute a factory reset specific to parameter set 1 if available, or reset all parameters (P9-97 = 1) and rebuild set 1.
- 5
Save the currently active parameter values as a new parameter set to overwrite the corrupted area (e.g., P9-98 = 1).
