AC voltage too low
Fronius · Primo GEN24
What does 103 mean?
The AC grid voltage at the inverter's connection point has fallen below the permitted limits for the Fronius Primo GEN24 208-240 inverter. This can cause the inverter to disconnect from the grid, preventing proper power feed-in.
Common Causes
- The grid voltage is too low.
- Impedance in the AC connection cable is too high (cable too long, cross-section too small).
- The grid impedance is too high (local grid problem).
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Measure the AC grid voltage at the inverter's connection point with a multimeter and confirm it falls within the Fronius Primo GEN24 208-240 inverter's specified operating range.
- 2
Examine the AC connection cable for appropriate length and cross-section; optimize if necessary to reduce impedance.
- 3
Confirm all AC connections are tight and correctly terminated to minimize voltage drop.
- 4
Contact the grid operator to investigate and resolve issues related to low grid voltage or high grid impedance in the local grid.
- 5
Check the grid connection point for other large loads that might be causing voltage sags.
