Cooling Fan Stop (ECM)
Fanuc · [PDF] Fanuc Macro B.pdf CNCTar
What does A mean?
The cooling fan for the heat sink of the Energy Charge Module's (ECM) Control Module has stopped. This will lead to overheating of the Control Module, potentially shortening component life or triggering other temperature-related alarms (e.g., Over-heat of Control Module, LED 9).
Repair Steps
- 1
Immediately stop the machine using the emergency stop button and open the external Main Circuit Contactor (MCC) of the Power supply.
- 2
Inspect the cooling fan of the ECM Control Module (A06B-6158-H010) for any physical obstructions (dust, debris) preventing its rotation.
- 3
Check the fan motor's power connection and verify the voltage supply to the fan.
- 4
Test the fan motor for functionality. If it is faulty or damaged, replace the cooling fan unit.
- 5
Ensure ambient temperature and ventilation within the cabinet are adequate to prevent over-reliance on the fan and ensure efficient heat dissipation (Section G.2.3, page 460).
