TOO MANY DIGIT
Fanuc · Series 30i/31i/32i-MODEL B Parameter
What does PS0003 mean?
This alarm is issued when a value specified for an M, S, T, or B code exceeds the allowable number of digits. The maximum allowed digits are configured by parameters 3030, 3031, 3032, and 3033. For the B code, the ability to specify a decimal point, which affects the digit count, is controlled by bit 0 (AUP) of parameter No. 3450.
Repair Steps
- 1
Check parameter 3030 (Allowable number of digits for the M code) — verify it is set appropriately for the specified M code.
- 2
Check parameter 3031 (Allowable number of digits for the S code) — verify it is set appropriately for the specified S code.
- 3
Check parameter 3032 (Allowable number of digits for the T code) — verify it is set appropriately for the specified T code.
- 4
Check parameter 3033 (Allowable number of digits for the B code) — verify it is set appropriately for the specified B code.
- 5
For B code, check bit 0 (AUP) of parameter No. 3450 — confirm if decimal point specification is enabled (set to 1).
- 6
Review the NC program for the M, S, T, or B code causing the alarm — ensure the specified value does not exceed the allowed number of digits defined by parameters 3030-3033.
