Option Communication Error
Yaskawa · E7 Drive
¿Qué significa BUS ?
After initial communication was established, the connection to the option board was lost. This indicates a broken connection or the master device has stopped communicating, leading to loss of control or monitoring through the option card.
Causas comunes
- Intermittent or loose connection of the option board within the drive's 2CN slot, causing temporary signal loss.
- Degradation or damage to the communication cable connecting the option board to the network master (e.g., vibration-induced wear, broken conductors).
- External network master device stopping communication or experiencing a fault, leading to a loss of expected messages from the option board.
- Temporary power supply fluctuations or brownouts affecting the option board's operation, causing communication dropouts.
- High levels of electromagnetic interference (EMI) disrupting the communication signals on the network bus.
Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación
Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.
- 1
Power cycle the drive and firmly re-seat the option communication board into the 2CN connector, verifying secure attachment.
- 2
Inspect the communication cable for signs of wear, physical damage, or loose connections at both the option board and the network master.
- 3
Monitor the status of the external network master and other devices on the communication bus to identify if the issue is external to the drive.
- 4
Verify stable power supply voltage to the drive and external communication devices using a multimeter or power quality analyzer.
- 5
Check for proper grounding and shielding of the communication cable, ensuring separation from high-current power lines.
- 6
Review the drive's event log for any other related faults that might indicate a power instability or internal hardware issue affecting the option board.
