IGBT Overtemperature
Vacon · 20 Compact
¿Qué significa 41 ?
An overtemperature alarm is issued when the Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT) switch temperature within the drive exceeds 110 °C. This indicates excessive heat generation in the power stage, often due to heavy loading, an improperly sized motor, or inadequate cooling.
Causas comunes
- Internal temperature of the Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT) module exceeds limits.
- High switching losses due to rapid switching frequencies or PWM patterns.
- Inadequate heatsink cooling for the IGBTs.
- Overcurrent conditions stressing the IGBTs.
- Degradation of thermal interface material between IGBT and heatsink.
Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación
Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.
- 1
Check the motor loading to ensure it does not exceed the drive's continuous current rating.
- 2
Verify that the motor size and type are correctly matched to the frequency converter.
- 3
Perform an identification run (if applicable) to optimize motor control parameters and reduce unnecessary heat generation.
