Line Phase Failure

SEW Eurodrive · MOVIFIT SC

¿Qué significa 6 ?

This fault indicates a loss of one line phase (L1, L2, or L3) either during initial network detection or after the network has been successfully established. Note that the failure of two line phases does not trigger this error, but rather a 'Not ready, 24V' state without an explicit error message. Prolonged operation with a missing phase can lead to motor damage, unit malfunction, and potential safety hazards due to unbalanced loads. It is crucial to resolve this promptly to prevent further component stress.

Causas comunes

  • Blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker in one of the incoming AC line phases (L1, L2, or L3) to the MOVIFIT unit input terminals.
  • Loose or corroded connection at the input power terminals (L1, L2, L3) of the MOVIFIT unit or an upstream distribution component.
  • Failure of an upstream contactor or circuit breaker pole, preventing one phase from reaching the drive.
  • Unbalanced grid voltage or phase loss from the utility supply or building's distribution network.

Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación

Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.

  1. 1

Measure the incoming line voltages (L1-L2, L2-L3, L3-L1) at the MOVIFIT input terminals using a true-RMS multimeter and verify against nominal voltage.

  2. 2

Inspect all three line fuses (L1, L2, L3) upstream of the MOVIFIT unit for continuity using a multimeter in resistance mode.

  3. 3

Tighten all power cable connections at the MOVIFIT input terminals, upstream circuit breakers, and contactors to specified torque values.

  4. 4

Check for voltage presence on both sides of any upstream circuit breakers or contactors to precisely locate the point of phase loss.

  5. 5

Verify the status and integrity of any upstream phase monitoring relays or protection devices.
