F20.2

Supply voltage – overload fault

SEW Eurodrive · MOVIDRIVE system

¿Qué significa F20.2 ?

The current load on the 24 V standby supply voltage in the MOVIDRIVE® system is too high. This overcurrent causes the device's internal signal output to de-energize. Leaving this unresolved can lead to system instability, unexpected shutdowns, and potential damage to internal components from sustained overload.

Causas comunes

  • External 24VDC load connected to standby supply (e.g., X10/X11) exceeding the drive's specified current limit.
  • Short circuit or ground fault in the external wiring connected to the drive's 24VDC output terminals.
  • Malfunctioning external sensor or actuator drawing excessive current from the 24VDC supply.
  • Internal fault within the drive's 24VDC power supply circuit due to component stress.

Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación

Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.

  1. 1

Disconnect all external loads from the 24VDC output terminals (e.g., X10/X11) and measure the current draw from each device individually.

  2. 2

Measure the voltage at the 24VDC output terminals (e.g., X10/X11) with a multimeter to verify it is stable and within tolerance.

  3. 3

With all external loads disconnected, measure the current flowing from the 24VDC output using an ammeter to check for internal drive leakage.

  4. 4

Isolate sections of the 24VDC external wiring by disconnecting them segment by segment and re-applying power to identify short circuits or ground faults.

  5. 5

Refer to the drive manual to verify the maximum permissible 24VDC output current and ensure connected loads are within limits.
