Overcurrent
SEW Eurodrive · MCBSM
¿Qué significa F-01 ?
An overcurrent condition has occurred at the inverter's output, leading to an immediate switch-off with inhibit. Possible causes include a short circuit, inappropriate motor sizing, or switching the output stage while inhibited. This fault can damage the inverter's output stage if not resolved.
Causas comunes
- Short circuit in the motor windings or motor output cables (e.g., phase-to-phase or phase-to-ground fault).
- Motor output cable insulation breakdown due to aging, mechanical damage, or water ingress (e.g., causing flashover).
- Motor bearing seizure or severe mechanical overload causing the rotor to lock up and draw excessive current.
- Inverter IGBT failure or internal power stage fault causing excessive current draw at output terminals.
- Incorrect motor parameters (e.g., P1-01 Motor rated power) leading to drive miscalculation and premature trip.
Pasos de reparación & Lista de verificación
Haga clic en los pasos para seguir su progreso.
- 1
1. Disconnect motor cables from inverter output (U, V, W) and measure insulation resistance to ground (e.g., >10 Mohms using a megohmmeter).
- 2
2. Measure motor winding resistance (phase-to-phase: U-V, V-W, W-U) and compare to motor nameplate/data sheet (expect values <1 Ohm and balanced).
- 3
3. Inspect motor output cables for visible signs of damage, chafing, or improper termination at both motor and drive ends.
- 4
4. Attempt to rotate the motor shaft manually to check for mechanical binding or seizure; lubricate or repair as needed.
- 5
5. Reduce acceleration ramp time (P1-08) or motor boost (P1-50) if the overcurrent occurs primarily during startup phase.
