• USB or Ethernet communication cable disconnected or damaged (e.g., between PC and drive).
• Incorrect communication port (COM port, IP address) selected in the PC software.
• Missing or outdated USB-to-serial driver on the PC.
• Firewall settings on the PC blocking communication with the drive's port.
